Communication, clarity and courtesy: better treatment for social housing residents

March 25 @ 15:0016:30

Poor communication is often at the heart of housing complaints and is one of the key issues that residents have raised throughout the Four Million Homes programme to date.

This webinar follows on from our session on the consultation around the competence and conduct of social housing staff.

Polly Cox from the Housing Ombudsman will share the findings from their recent report ‘Spotlight on attitudes, respect and rights – relationship of equals’; how this feeds into the complaints process and their recommendations for change. And representatives from Stop Social Housing Stigma – a resident-led campaign with support from housing organisations across the UK – will talk about their work to support tenants to have a voice against stereotyping and stigma.

As always, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions, discussion and to share your opinions.
